Artists came in from all over the great state of Texas to submit their pieces for the 2022 Juried Fall Art Exhibit. Nerves were on edge and some were actually questioning if their submission was good enough or not in order to place. A total of 16 entries made it into the exhibit and below are pictures of each one for your viewing pleasure. I like to think of it as our first virtual art gallery!
The opening of the exhibit was Sep 17th and it will be available for viewing until Oct 1st. Our next exhibit is planned for Oct 15th from 6-8PM and The Blue Moon Restaurant located on the other end of our block is offering $1 off margaritas for all exhibit patrons.
As for the results of our recent juried exhibit….
Best In Show along with a $300 prize was won by Patti Rae Wellborn with her piece titled, “Beast.”
2nd Place was won by Janna Kulisz along with a $150 prize for her piece titled, “ Texas, Our Texas.”
3rd Place was won by Mary Beth Hensley along with a $75 prize for her piece titled, “Stinkeye,” which made me laugh out loud because it was actually a still life of her husband.

Our next juried exhibit is planned for March of 2023 and we look forward to the submissions that will make an appearance.
