I want to let you in on a bit of a secret. De Leon has one of the best beauty products available this side of the Mississippi and it only costs $7.00.
It comes from a company called Little Bit Goat Soap and it is available at the Chaos Trading Company located at 166 N Texas in De Leon, Texas.
These soaps are my personal version of catnip and I blame it on the magical fairy dust I think they sprinkle into each batch……
The owner, Aliena handcrafts soaps & body products with the intention of being as natural as possible.
When asked about her method, she stated that,
“I believe what makes my soap making unique is my desire to use all natural ingredients. I do not use any artificial colors, scents, or ingredients in my soaps and I keep everything organic and locally sourced when possible.”
This creator produces one of the best products I have ever been able to get my hands on, and I always keep at least two bars in my house at all times. She is also constantly coming up with new scents that are amazing such as my current favorite, Lavender Rosemary, which is colored with an Alkanet powder which not only gives a rich purple color in the soap making process, but also provides a lovely mahogany color for the Rose Grapefruit tinted lip balm she also makes.
I can personally say that these soap bars are some of the best I have ever tried. Aliena certainly does not skimp on her quality of product. Once the soap is wet, you will even be able to see the water cloud up quite a bit as if you poured the goat’s milk directly into it. The soap bars are luxurious, packed full of good stuff, and really healthy for your skin. Some historians have also suggested that Cleopatra herself bathed regularly in milk baths to stay beautiful.
Be that as it may, most folks don’t know that there is actually proven science behind as to why this type of soap is so darn good and ironically, it is not magical fairy dust.
The lactic acid in goat’s milk helps to break down skin cells, thus aiding your skin in its renewal process. Goat’s milk is also rich in vitamins and nutrients important for healthy skin growth. This includes zinc, alpha hydroxy acid, and amino acid, as well as vitamins A, B, C, and E. The pH balance of the fatty acids found in goat’s milk is also very similar to the pH levels found in the human body, also making it easy for your skin to absorb them. So in essence, it directly feeds your skin. I also use the bars as a daily face wash.
The benefits will be evident after the first time you try it. Trust me.
So, there you have it. A really high quality, locally sourced, cheaply priced product that is backed by science, and it is right here in De Leon, Texas.
These soap bars will make the perfect gift for that special one in your life that takes their bath times seriously and they are located at the Chaos Trading Company in De Leon, Texas along with massage oils, lip balms, and handmade soap savers.
So, my suggestion is to go stock up on these products and freely give them out. They will make a great gift for everyone.
Until Next Time,
Sarah Childers
